FAMILY PHOTO FUN DAYS

Enjoy an afternoon of free parent-child art and photography sessions designed for children aged 6-12 and led by skilled and supportive staff members. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

FAMILY PHOTO FUN DAY
Family Portraits and Photo Frames (All skill levels)

Saturday, October 1, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.

Fall is right around the corner, so celebrate the change in season with a free family portrait session at the Southeast Museum of Photography!

Our backdrop will be decorated in a fall theme (pumpkins, hay bales, flowers, etc.) so be sure to wear (or bring along) clothing that will compliment the scene. As a bonus, kids will have the opportunity to create custom wooden photo frames using a special transfer technique. They will be able to choose from a variety of fall images to transfer to their frame, then finish it by adding their family portrait. Don't miss out on this exciting activity!

FOR REGISTRATION PLEASE NOTE: This is a free workshop. However, due to limited space, pre-registration is required so we can ensure that we have enough materials available for all participants. Please contact Christina Katsolis in the education department by email at katsolc@DaytonaState.edu or call 386-506-4569 to register for this workshop.

The Digital Photo Academy is a two-week, intensive digital photography program that places an emphasis upon learning fundamental skills, enhancing perceptual abilities, and building a beginner’s portfolio. Geared towards ages 14-17, students are introduced to a wide range of photographic styles and learning opportunities that extend beyond the traditional classroom. This program coordinates directly with talented alumni, current DSC instructors, and commercial photographers to provide unique insight and information about career possibilities within the photographic industry. At the end of the program, participants go home with a portfolio and their best images are included in an exhibition in SMP's Youth Gallery Space.

Registrants must be available to attend both weeks in order to successfully produce a photographic portfolio and participate in the final gallery exhibition.
