Kaleido-Scope It! (All skill levels)
Saturday, February 2, 1:00 - 3:00pm
Fun Day
What’s better than just looking through a kaleidoscope?
Why, shooting through one of course!

Come experiment and create cool effects by taking pictures through mirror-lined kaleidoscopes large enough to place your camera inside. Capture fractured views, reflect cool angles, and multiply textured surfaces to make unique, one-of-a-kind images.

Fun Day As an added bonus, build your own multi-colored kaleidoscope to take home. Get ready to twist and turn your way to cool photos!

Play With Your Food (And Photograph it!)
Saturday, April 6, 1:00 - 3:00pm
broccoli dog

Can you pass the miniature trees—er, I mean, the broccoli?

Inspired by Joost Elffers’ whimsical style and subsequent book, Play With Your Food, this activity challenges kids to view fruits and vegetables in a whole new way.

Create fanciful scenes or creatures using banana peels, bell peppers, slices of cucumber, bits of broccoli, a turnip or any type of veggie available. Pair your creations with photographs of various back-grounds to finish your scene and then snap a picture! squidapuss

Use your imagination and learn to see the creative potential inherent in your kitchen’s pantry!
