FREE SATURDAY PROGRAMS:
Saturdays from 11:00am - 12:30pm

Enjoy these free parent-child art and photography sessions for children aged 7-11. Museum education staff lead fun activities and explore new ways of seeing and creating. Meet at the museum lobby reception desk just prior to the session. Presented in cooperation with the Volusia County ECHO Rangers program. No charge.


    • January 24
      Colorful Cuba              
      Create a colorful sculpture that resembles the stunning indigenous birds of Cuba.

    • February 21
      Mosaic Art        
      Use your imagination to build and decorate a mosaic inspired photo frame.

      March 21
      Sun Prints            
      Learn how to use solar energy to create one of a kind photographs.

    • April 18
      Reduce, Reuse, Recycle             
      Learn and explore fun techniques to make art and save the Earth!

      May 23
      Up, Up and Away             
      Design and build your own unique kite and with a little wind (and some luck), watch it soar!

      CHILDREN’S PROGRAM RESERVATIONS:
      Bookings are essential. Don’t forget to RSVP no later than one week prior to each children’s program date. Reservations are taken on a space available basis. Contact the museum’s education office at bresnam@daytonastate.edu or call (386) 506-4569 to register.
